In January 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of staying with Paula at Island Garden Huts in the serene paradise of Nusa Lembongan, just off the coast of Bali, Indonesia. My daughter Zali and I spent three blissful days soaking in everything this magical place had to offer—and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing.

One of the highlights of our stay was the daily morning yoga, set against the tranquil backdrop of the island’s natural beauty. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading off for activities like snorkelling, exploring hidden beaches, or simply enjoying quiet moments under the tropical sun.
Getting There is Easier Than You Think
For my fellow Australians keeping an eye on flights to Denpasar, the journey to Nusa Lembongan is incredibly manageable. After landing in Bali, it’s just a short transfer to Sanur Harbour, followed by a quick boat ride over to the island. In no time, you’ll find yourself unwinding in your cozy bungalow, enjoying delicious local dinners around Lembongan, and embracing a slower, more peaceful pace of life.
