After meeting David Brian at a recent conference, we noticed his strong social media presence but saw an opportunity to enhance his website. It became clear in our conversation that David’s expertise is in building exceptional hempcrete walls—not managing websites.
We proposed a solution and, within two weeks, delivered the first iteration of Southern Hemp’s professional online presence: a foundational website framework, refreshed branding concepts, and a sleek visual direction. However, following a short delay, it became clear that David preferred to retain his existing logo and that our initial branding board didn’t quite align with his vision. In response, we workshopped a revised branding board that honoured his established colour palette, font family, and even incorporated design cues from his distinctive ute. Good design is a process—and thoughtful iteration is what ensures the final result truly resonates.
While the .com.au domain trend is fading, David was concerned about southernhemp.com.au being on his work vehicle. No problem—we’ll simply redirect traffic to his shiny new domain, southernhemp.au.
But that’s just the start! We’ll work with David to transform his Facebook posts into high-quality, SEO-friendly content for ongoing website updates. Soon, Southern Hemp will showcase a portfolio of hempcrete builds that will attract not only new clients but also skilled staff and passionate volunteers.
